Vale Dog Groomers agrees to provide professional grooming services for the above-named dog, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and styling according to the owner's request and the groomer's professional judgement.
The owner confirms the dog is up to date on vaccinations and free from contagious conditions. Any behavioural concerns (e.g., aggression, biting, anxiety, stress) have been disclosed. Vale Dog Groomers reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if a dog's behaviour or health poses a risk to itself, other animals, or staff.
Matted fur can cause severe discomfort and skin problems. The owner authorises Vale Dog Groomers to remove or clip matting as necessary, using professional judgement. The owner understands this may require shaving close to the skin and may reveal underlying skin issues such as irritation, redness, parasites, or sores. Additional fees may apply for de-matting or shaving services. The owner releases Vale Dog Groomers from liability for issues directly resulting from severe matting or mat removal.
Vale Dog Groomers may take photographs or videos of pets for social media, website galleries, marketing materials, and grooming documentation. By signing this form the owner consents to the use of images for business purposes.
If fleas, ticks, or other parasites are found, an immediate flea bath or treatment may be administered to protect all animals in the salon. An additional fee will apply, and the dog may be isolated for safety. Reinfestation after grooming is the owner's responsibility.
Elderly dogs or those with pre-existing medical conditions may require modified grooming procedures for their comfort. The owner understands these pets may have higher grooming risks. Vale Dog Groomers will take reasonable care but is not liable for complications arising from age-related or medical conditions.
Dogs that show aggression or extreme difficulty during grooming may incur a behaviour handling fee to cover extra time and staff. Grooming may be stopped if the dog becomes unsafe for staff or itself; in such cases, partial grooming fees will still apply. Vale Dog Groomers may refuse future services if a dog is deemed a continual risk.
Grooming involves the use of sharp tools and handling which may carry a small risk of accidental nicks, scratches, or stress reactions. If a medical emergency occurs, Vale Dog Groomers will seek veterinary care at the owner's expense. The owner agrees to cover all reasonable veterinary costs if treatment is required and understands Vale Dog Groomers is not liable for pre-existing conditions or undisclosed health issues.
The owner may authorise another person to drop off or collect their dog. Vale Dog Groomers will release the dog only to authorised individuals. Vale Dog Groomers is not responsible for the dog once released to an authorised person.
Vale Dog Groomers may update grooming policies when necessary. Clients will be notified of material changes. By signing this agreement the owner acknowledges they will comply with the most current policies in effect.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. No-shows may incur a fee. Late Pick-Up Fee: A £10 fee will apply for every 20 minutes the dog is left after the agreed collection time to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all animals in our care.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total grooming fee is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. The remaining balance is due upon collection of your dog. Any additional charges (including, but not limited to, matting removal, behaviour related handling fees, additional grooming time, specialised products, or parasite treatment) will be added to the final balance and, where possible, discussed with you before they are applied. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel or fail to attend your appointment.
By signing this contract, the owner releases Vale Dog Groomers, its staff, and affiliates from liability for injuries or issues resulting from pre-existing health conditions, severe matting, aggressive behaviour, age-related risks, or information withheld by the owner. Vale Dog Groomers will not be liable for the unforeseeable complications that may arise despite reasonable care.
I, the owner of the above-named dog, have read, understand, and agree to the terms outlined in this contract. I confirm the information provided is accurate and I consent to the grooming services described.
